Bridal

Bridal Photography has got to be my favorite. You have the beautiful bride and dress, without the rush and stress of the wedding day.

Here are some things to keep in mind for your bridal sitting:

Makeup: wear more/heavier foundation than usual. This will make your skin tone more even and not washed out by the flash. Remember to wear a little more/darker eyeliner that usual. Don't forget to bring lipstick/gloss and powder (especially if it is hot).

I have a friend who is a professional makeup artist if you need her services.

You may want to bring an inexpensive bouquet, , fresh flowers, or artificial mock-up of your real bouquet for the sitting. It gives your hands a place in the photos. The bride below just used one of my "wooden rose" bouquets.

Location, location, location. Everyone wants beautiful bridal photos. Most of the time we start in the studio for close-up head shots while your makeup and hair are still fresh.

Here are some ideas for locations:

Flying J in Ogden

2450 Polk, Ogden

Ogden Cathedral

Ogden 4th ward building (21st and Jefferson)

Lindquist building (above) and Lindquist Coorperation building across the parking lot (below)

Botanical gardens Ogden River Parkway (about 1500 Monroe, Ogden)

Union Station

Sherwood Hills ($25 grounds fee) unless your wedding/reception is there.

Many times the reception center you have booked will let you come and do bridals for free.

Ivy Lane Reception Center

Weber State Alumni House Grounds

This photo was made after we drove past and saw the lovely flowerbeds that matched the brides bouquet and ribbon.

This one is in front of the IRS building in downtown Ogden

This photo was taken outside at dusk. The light is very soft then, and I did not use a flash.

Memory grove in Salt Lake City is a beautiful location.

I would love to do some on the shores of the Great Salt Lake if you were up for the drive.

If you did not have a seperate bridal sitting just ask for a few on your wedding day.
